UC and Temple in basketball had scheduling conflict just like this, though it didn't go to court, but it was serious enough to happen. That was back in 2000. 4 or 5 years later things are STILL bad between the programs. Yeah, things will be alright in 4 or 5 years, especially when one side is considering legal action.

Memories in college sports are lengthy things.

Ask Jo Paterno.

Do you think BC's treachery will be forgotten soon?

I'm sure UCF did it because it was the cheapest buyout, but they will pay dearly.

Personally, I'm glad they did it, because it makes it that much easier to say no way when it comes to expansion. They can pound sand.

Huh?

Anyway, this has very little to do with UC and more to do with the fact that Central Florida is burning bridges with Big East programs. That's all.

Hmmm... a UCF fan, who's team didn't win a football game last year, who has never been good in basketball, making a comment like that to UC? The football program through the years has underachieved, no doubt, but at least it has achieved something! When is the last bowl game UCF went to? When is the last UCF bowl win? When was the last time your school went to the NCAA tourney? Last win in the tourney? Ok, you can shut up and go away now. :stupid:

How does a thread about UCF qualify him to take shots at UC?

NC State replaced the void left by Central Florida with Southern Mississippi, which will join Temple and Eastern Kentucky on the OOC slate.

This could come back to bite UCF in a big way when the Big East expands.
You are kidding yourself if you think this will make any difference in whether or not UCF ever becomes a member of the Big East.

IF the Big East ever adds new members, it will be all about money. If UCF can bring them the most money, then this won't matter a bit.

And how many games were YOU involved in? If you didn't play, then please don't take credit for something you didn't do and could never do.

We are fans, period. Save the hard talk for when you actually do something.

Can't speak for everyone else here, but not only was I born in Cincinnati by two graduates of Cincinnati, with a father who played basketball for Cincinnati, was raised in Cincinnati, graduated from Cincinnati himself, and who lives near the university, and whose spouse works for the University, I can say that I am not just a "fan".

You may be "just a fan".

But I am not. I may not play on the field or court, but I have as much of a vested interest in the athletics of my alma mater as the athletes who go out there. These kids REPRESENT the University that we went to school at.

Maybe at UCF you just don't get it.
