CUSA was represented well on that list having the #7 and #10 teams. Unfortunately for them both are headed to the Big East next season.

well Bearcat, there are two sides to every coin. In a way UL and cincy leaving opens up the opportunity for others to develop. How would you like to be USF trying to get off the floor in that league?
CUSA will at least be wide open and any of six schools will have a chance of winning it.

The Horizon League is that way every year... they don't seem to be able to develop GOOD teams in that conference.

That is pretty sad. USF may struggle at first but they will be playing against top competition. Basically you are saying that CUSA teams will be better because the competition will be weaker. How does that make programs better?

This Houston fan needs to shut the hell up.

Houston has no fans. There stadiums are empty! It is an embarrassment to be in the same conference with them.

While it is true Memphis may not be geographically ideal for the Big East, it makes just as much since as the Texas reject league of the upcoming C-USA. SMU, Rice, Houston, UTEP 03-puke

Tiger....you should feel embarrased since we own the series with you in almost every sport ...major or minor. have a drink and get a grip . At least CUSA wanted you....seems that nobody else does.

Aren't you the rocket scientist who recently advocated kicking Memphis out of C-USA?

TigerBandit,
Know that most Louisville fans feel your pain. Just hang in their keep improving and if the Big 12 or SEC doesn't come calling in the next few years, the Big East certainly will.

Right Jim, we can see all the leagues beating down the door at Memphis to let them in. Talk is cheap.

3601, I didn't advocate kicking you out peanut brain, I just stated that it was an appealing thought. I see you are back over here to pucker up and smooch some of that UL hiney.

What's so appealing about kicking out one of the few remaining basketball programs that is considered respectable?

first bearcat, nobody wants to kick them out but they do have some, shall we say, unrealistic fans. they have a decent basketball program but its a little over stated. They are one of six teams or so that has a shot of winning the league but thats all.

Ask Cardinal Jim, wilkie, sandman and some other Louisville fans about that. They'll laught at you. I was blacklisted from the Louisville Rivals board. That's how much arse I kiss.

Everybody has unrealistic fans but I don't think there is anything unrealistic about Memphis being the favorite to be on top for NCUSA basketball.

I guess bearcat that if everything stayed just as it was a year ago memphis would be the favorite. That almost never happens. Frankly, UTEP is going to be a contender as will the Coogs. You can usually count on someone strpping up you did not expect. All that said, memphis is not a clear favorite.
