I think the past several seasons have knocked PSU down a bit, though.

Quote:Put ECU in the A-10, and you have no less than 2 40,000+ attendance games in Dowdy-Ficklen every other season -- William & Mary and James Madison. Sure, you can (try and) prove otherwise, but as long as I can point to that 40,000+ attended game with ECU and W&M back in 2001, I have at least 1 leg to stand on.
1 game against William & Mary shows nothing. Using that line of thinking ECU should be in the ACC, since there are 4 games against ACC competition ahead of the Bill and Mary game as far as attendance records. Also note, there is a CUSA game listed ahead of the Bill & Mary game also. 15 or the 16 higest attended games in ECU history are against 1-A competition. Become a 1-AA school and there will never be another game against Duke, EweNC, NC State, or Wake in Dowdy-Ficklen. Syracuse, Virginia Tech, or South Carolina for that matter either.
As for James Madison...they averaged 12,790 last season...and was at 102% of listed capacity to get that many. William and Mary averaged 8367, only drawing 63% of their capacity. Joining the A10 would be the final nail in ECU's athletic coffin. Of course, as a Tarhole fan I can see why you'd like for that to happen.
That doesn't even begin to cover the fact that the A10 is already at 12 football playing members.

It must be convienient to blame lack of success on a conference rather than your own school's program.
Yikes.
I've never seen more lame ****** exuses than you're spewing, bud.
Perhaps Duke and Vandy suck in football soley because of their conference affiliations also?

East Carolina was winning in the mid-90s in football and where, pray-tell, has that landed her...? A nice lil' spot in Division I-A purgatory (C-USA), drawing to only 60-65% capacity.
Some cure.
...all they had to do was win....and if CUSA is/was such a 1-A purgatory, they shouldn't have had any problems.

It's much easier to form exuses rather than look in the mirror..........
