Pretty solid start to Levine's first class. 5.7 and 5.6 rated per Rivals, and some serious BCS offers. Couple these two with Greenberry, and I have to say, I'm impressed/excited.
I know about them, I just cant fathom anyone with any semblance of intelligence passing on a degree from schools like Cal or UT. Hopefully, they make it professionally.

I don't want this recruiting thread to be overtaken by UT diarrhea, but did you really just lump them and UC-Berkeley into the same academic realm?
Dude, not even close.

They're both very intelligent young men. A degree from the University of Houston stands up pretty well but that's neither here nor there. Greenberry is walking into the most prolific offense in the country, for the past 4 years, and we've graduated our starting receiving corps. That's an enticing opportunity for someone of his ability. Think Michael Crabtree in the old Texas Tech version of Air Raid.
As for Danuel House, he prides himself on being a local artist. Going to school close to home, with fellow Top 50 recruit Chicken Knowles, was very appealing.
That's how it is with athletes of that caliber. I'm optimistic Temple will sign Savon Goodman for the same reasons.

They're both elite universities. UT may not be Cal, but it's the next tier. You may not like UT, but you cannot question the value of a UT degree and the connections UT offers.

We hope so. As long as Kansas or UCLA dont offer, I think we land him.
Allot of people choose to go where they want based on much more than surface perceptions of what they should do. Especially those coming from someone posting on a message forum. The people I've met whose comments resembled what JHG722 has expressed were largely followers. I make allot more than my friends who went to UT and some of them have more esteemed graduate degrees than I, as well. But then you went to Temple.

You cant seriously take shots at Temple after misspelling 'a lot' twice...
Well, it may depend on the competition. Many players transfer out of UT. And for instance, in Dallas, a degree from SMU is more important than a degree from UT. So it may be true for Houston as well, certainly a degree from Rice counts more than UT.
UC just got a commitment from *** QB Kyle Kempt from Massilon, Ohio. Had offers from Indiana, WVU, Washington, Tennessee, Stanford, and a few MAC schools. Jim Harbaugh offered him before he even played a varsity game. Big time pick up.

I got him added. I also just noticed that I did not even have Cincinnati listed. Sorry about the UC fans.

If you say so. I dont know how anyone who isn't a top student gets a full ride to UT. I know about the 10% rule and how it is exploited, but they still get a lot of top students who are rejected at Ivies, Duke, etc. You really cannot beat McCombs, especially the BHP.

There have been plenty of kids that have gone to Texas and regretted it. There is only so much playing time to go around.
Selecting a school is purely an arbitrary process. These kids don't care about Ivies. They're looking to grow on the court/field, as well as off it.

I wasn't really talking about athletes, although we all know too well, as Philly area basketball player Jaylen Bond spurned Temple for Texas last year.
