I seriously doubt if any of us have any first hand knowledge of Drew cheating. However, anyone should seriously question his tactics prior to hiring the guy. More of his fellow coaches have been critical of his tactics than Cal or Tark's counterparts. I'm sure that some of those critical comments are caused by others being jealous of his success, but Cal and Tark left the same or wide path of destruction with wins.

If "just win" or "win at all costs" is your style, Drew would probably be a great choice. He obviously fits that mode very well. Otherwise, any school considering him should look deeply and in detail at what's being said.

I would take Scott Drew as our coach all day, any day. RC dropped the ball by not hiring him last time. The guy is an unbelieveable recruiter (to freakin Wacko, Texas of all places) and he WINS. He resurrected a completely dead program that was 1000 times worse than the program Pastner inherited and he did it in the B12, which had and still has some major BB programs in it. Drew is the real deal. I won't get into comparing him to Pastner, but his accomplishments speak for themselves. Two Elite 8's in three years at freakin Baylor is just amazing.

I think it says a lot about a person's character that they would take a coach who wins by cheating over a coach who may win a little less by not cheating.

That said, the accomplishments of Scott Drew speak for themselves, and so far, his accomplishments at Baylor exceed the recent accomplishments of Memphis by 1000 percent, at the LEAST. He would have, and still would, do great things here if given the chance.

And all of the haters who call him dirty need to check the public records. There has been no finding by the NCAA of anything wrong at Baylor. Rumors or gossip on a message board does not constitute a finding of fact by the NCAA for goodness sakes. It means NOTHING.

Yes Drew may do some backhanded recruiting stuff but nothing that I would considered him a cheater and not want him here at UM.

So ridiculous how people just throw people under the bus and speak of character when they have nothing to even prove it, really sad.

Drew has been called a dirty recruiter not because he is paying players but because he did annoying things like recruit players already committed being negative about other schools to the kids he recruits little petty personal NAHNAH crap that goes on between coaches when recruiting, but nothing illegal and nothing to were you could call the man a blatant cheater.

Drew is disliked by other coaches the same as Meyer got his lecture when recruiting committed players from other Big Ten schools, coaches basically saying it is not a violation but we just do not recruit that way here in the Big Ten, Drew has gotten that rep as a coach who will stay on a kid until the day he steps on campus so other coaches say things about him because they do not like him personally, but when your in Waco maybe you gotta push it a little and the man has done a great job.

Scott Drew is not our coach and probably never will be. What exactly is the point here?

I feel fully qualified to comment on the character of someone who would prefer a cheater for a coach than an honest man for a coach.
