Alliance, what alliance. One will stay a western conference the other will be a southern conference. Both conferences are running out of programs that matter. Most of the good ones have been called up to the big leagues.

ECU, Southern Miss, and Marshall are programs from C-USA that should get the call up. The truth is that the Big East, Big 12, and PAC 12 took most of the programs in those conferences that people cared about. Look I believe ECU could compete in football in any of the major conferences and when the Big East gets hit again should be invited if not sooner. If I had my way the Big East would offer Marshall, ECU, and UMass to rebuild their eastern brand name. Charlotte would get an invite once they prove themselves as well.

I just think the alliance concept is dead. It died when the Big East grabbed Boise State, SDSU, Houston, Memphis, SMU, and UCF. Before the raid C-USA and the Mountain West were pretty solid football conferences.
