We should probably wait for miko33 to come in here and tell us all of the specifics on this. After all, he knows a guy who knows a guy, can talk about how being in a conference with Boise State is a violation of Pitt's academic integrity, how they should not have to resort to courts and paperwork because The Big East needs to understand this is the right thing to do in letting Pitt leave, and how MSG should also tell The Big East they should forfeit the conference Tournament at The Garden to the ACC because no one in New York state knows where SMU is.
He is probably writing up his rough draft right now. He just needs to find a few more words over seven letters to make it look good.

The BE did not enforce the 27 month waiting period, and it is clear that the conference was merely playing games and not willing to work with Pitt in good faith.

The greed of the BE confernce knows no bounds. It's the lust for money that the BE conference suffers from that will be its ultimate demise. That and the hybrid nature of the conference which brings structural instability.

I don't think it's quite the same. Pitt did their best to work with the BE in good faith, yet the BE could only see $$$$$. WVU did not try very hard to work with the BE before it want instantly to the lawsuit path.

Regarding the lawsuit, Pitt is doing the right thing. The BE has not lived up to its promises to the conference members - especially to the original FB playing members - and Pitt is more than justified in trying to get out early. That's just how it is.
