With all the talk about Illinois in another forum, can we talk about other Big 10 teams and their strengths and weaknesses? I would like to have one.

Ohio State's strength is their perimeter game from beyond the arc.
Their weakness could be their mindset now that they know, no matter what they do this year, they won't be going to any tournamnet except for the B10 Tourney.

Well, as you probably know, Michigan has 3 starters out.... Abram for the year (will get a RS), Horton and Brown for at least the rest of the OOC schedule.
Michigan's strength, when healthy, is transition scoring and defense as a whole..... our weakness is turnovers and offensive consistency.
Hopefully Horton and Brown get back healthy at the beginning of the BigTen schedule...... tomorrow's game against South Florida will, unforunately, be more competitive than it should be, even though the Bulls have lost to MISSISSIPPI VALLEY STATE!!

State's strengths:
transition scoring, shooting beyond the arc and defense
I think Neitzel is on pace to grow up quickly to make the point position a strength
weakness: I think their inconsistencies on offense (inside game) and defense (turnovers) point to leadership.
Anderson is doing a better job this year but Hill and Torbert??
They need to dominate the boards in order to beat Ill.
It will be an interesting season for the top 4 teams

Through mid-January, this is how I see the Big Ten finishing:
1. Illinois
2. Michigan State
3. Wisconsin
4. Minnesota
5. Michigan
6. Iowa
7. Ohio State
8. Indiana
9. Purdue
10. Northwestern
11. Penn State
I could see six teams making the tourney, although that may be a stretch.
