The El Paso city council has done things that people of El Paso claim do not represent the beliefs/views of the El Pasoans, and yet those same people get relected. 2k signatures do not mean jack. That is less than 1% of the elegible voters in El Paso. More likely less than .05%. Are you suggesting that our city should be run by such a small group of people? The stadium will be built where city hall is now and you and all the naysayers will go and enjoy games there.

I am not suggesting anything. I am simply pointing out that I am not the only one against the demolition of City Hall. Let's not forget that in any given election, less than 10k citizens vote. Therefore, that a protest group could compile over 2k signatures in less than one month is significant.
Who was it that said "I'm having miner doubts about our buddy Fit."? Take credit and I'll give you as many +s as I can give.

I contribute to many forums on the internet on many, many topics. This is by far the thinnest skinned group of contributors that I have ever seen.

If you all want to ignore or dismiss my criticism of things that I see wrong with my city or my university, be my guest.

Let's remember however that the only way to make our city and university better is to point out when they are doing something wrong.

I just want to give credit where credit is due. That was was one of the most clever and precise quotes I've ever read on this entire forum. I want to give the author his just due. That's all.

This statement is as bad as it gets.... I hope you don't adopt that practice with your kids, employees, etc. 01-wingedeagle01-wingedeagle

The way to make a city better is to vote, and put folks in office that will carry out the vision of the majority of those who live in that city.

I think there were several of us, who were starting to think it's the same person due to similar negative traits.

RE: UTEP Baseball?
Move this thread to the UTEP forum. It has become far from CUSA related.

Sorry, Pyrizzo.

I was doing work around the house, and just saw your request to move the thread to the UTEP forum.

Well, we finally have our version of TOGC in Miner-land.

Altough in fairness to TOGC, at least he gets along with some of his fellow fan base.[/align]

I can't believe that you all would find nothing wrong with the demolition of City Hall. The stadium doesn't have to be built there.

Regardless, If that is how it's going to be that is find with me.

I'm simply pointing out that not everyone in this city is for it.
