Out of the 965 most are males, who are technical/engineering and business majors, ODU is the largest. We have our share from VaTech, PennSt and UVa. Not many from VMI. We used to have a active ODU alumni association, not so much now.

Seemed to be the natural progression when I graduated - go to the shipyard until you find another job.

I still have several classmates that work their, though.

My friends and I have started a fantasy football league. We had the draft last night, very excited for the up coming season....GO BIG BLUE!

Just found out a few days ago we're expecting child #2! We're only telling family at this point but I figured I could share with my Monarch bretheren. A little worried about having a second, right now child # 1 is three and she's kicking our *ss.

Congrats I can't wait to start having kids of my own when I finally settle down.

Saw this pop up on Youtube, not sure if it was worth an entire thread. Basically a video interview with Dr. T about the importance of Music in public schools. Doc Nix (GMU) and VCU's band director also with a small interview.

While brutal in the beginning, having two kids is a godsend now. My two boys entertain each other and don't rely solely on me or Mama Smitty for their entertainment.

That's mostly the feedback I've been getting. I think we'll stop at two though. Once you go from man-to-man to zone defense it's all over. Thanks for the well wishes everyone!

Congrats! Our first is still too fresh and at this current time neither of us want a 2nd. Well... especially her. We'll see what tune she's singing in 18-24 months.

Marshall and UNC-Charlotte are definite possibilities. I think that we'll dominate the ODU-UNCC series both in football and basketball for a few years. Marshall may beat us in football but we'd probably beat them in basketball. They've got a decent basketball team too. If we were in the same division as LA-Tech we'd probably get a good one with them.

ECU will be fun to hate. There's too many of them not to piss off. Plus, they wear purple. Any man that wears purple with confidence is no friend of mine...

I hear we used to have a healthy rivalry with UAB but that was before my time. So I assume that might fire up.

It only makes since one of ECU, Marshall, or Charlotte will become a heated rivalry. But so far most of the people at those schools are so darn nice to us. Hopefully some smack talk once play begins will fuel something. I personally feel ECU will become our biggest football rival and Charlotte or Marshall in basketball.
