ECU has two consecutive losing season, an absymal basketball program, and a non-existent market in the middle of ACC country. There is no way in hell they deserved to be in the Big East.

Memphis isn't setting the world on fire either TOGC. At least be honest, and when was the last time you guys had a winning record in football? As my grandfather used to say, "when you point a finger at someone, you have three pointing right back at you."

Honestly I can admire the tenacity of the Tiger fanbase, albeit a bit self-entitled, but you're just wrong TOGC. Flat out wrong.

BYU, AFA, Fresno and a half dozen other teams in the west are being considered but not ECU.

It's pretty obvious to anyone whose paying attention that they're not getting in.

lol, it's two teams and a messageboard favorite. The teams they are looking at now have national appeal (or perceived appeal in the case of AFA), this hurts ECU and USM, no matter how deserving their programs are. If it was only about winning and losing, half the teams in the top four conferences would have been booted out a long time ago. I reminded of a line Contact:

"I wish the world was a place where fair was the bottom line, where the kind of idealism you showed at the hearing was rewarded, not taken advantage of. Unfortunately, we don't live in that world."

It is what it is folks, a dick-measuring contest on the internet isn't going to change a damn thing or even anyone's perceptions, be the bigger men and let it go already.

I think most pirate fans know we are not getting in...does it suck to not be included for the third time, of course. But we show up on Saturdays to see our team, not the opponent. But TOGC, you know it is a FACT that the only reason memphis was added over us or USM was due to your citys population and nothing more. This expansion was football and tv market driven. Can you say with a straight face that you would not trade football programs with us or USM or 100 other teams. Nope. You have always been butt hurt towards ECU and it is pretty obvious and sad.

If we got in on basketball and market alone, UNLV would've joined along with us. There was a lot more to it than that.

UNLV is dq'ed in nonfb by geography and is not a good comparison. Temple is a better comparison.
