How about these Pirates?
Good God! How about the Buccos in June/July?
We're now 47-37 and playing unbelievable baseball. It looks like McDonald was the steal of the century (at least the decade). Burnett has been playing his best baseball since he was with the Blue Jays. McCutchen is McCutchen but perhaps even better at this point in time. And Pedro! My goodness! He's playing like the player he was projected to be this hot streak.
Although you can't see it, I'm making the Zoltan hand sign right now! I can't wait for the fall. Let's go Bucs!

How can you make the #Zoltan when typing...
But man... this has been awesome... I'm not even expecting a long playoff run or even the playoffs... Getting to 82 has always been my ultimate goal for this team. Anything else is just icing on the cake.

I agree, I'm just going to enjoy it while it lasts and hope for the best (playoffs).

RE: How about these Pirates?
Thanks for the invite, CP. Did not know this board existed.
Lifelong Bucs, Pens, Steelers fan. Based on your post on our Board, I'm a little older than you. I enjoyed both the '71 and '79 World Series championships. Saw Clemente, Maz, and Stargell play at Three Rivers, but never made a game at Forbes Field. In fact, my first game was the 2nd game ever played at TRS. I also came back to town to watch the Bucs last game played there.
This season has been great - so far. The month of June was certainly the most enjoyable in 20 years. The power of Zoltan! As Hurdle has preached, they need to FINISH.
Watched Josh Harrison a bunch during his Cincinnati Bearcat days. So obviously, he is my favorite current Bucco. I'll be at all 3 games here in Cincy during the first week of August. Keep BUCN!

Hey Ragpicker. Welcome! I take it you're a Bearcats fan...that's ok :). We won't hold it against you here on our little board.
It looks like we're going to be buyers again at the trade deadline this year. I can't wait...this is going to be really fun!

Thanks. Yep, UC Alum.
So what do you guys think of Cutch making the Home Run Derby?

I think McCutchen competing in the HR derby is cool but at the same time I don't want him to get screwed up for when the hits really count.
I'm kind of glad JMac didn't get selected because I really don't want to see him pitching. I'd rather him just rest up over the break and my attitude is similar for position players.

Great pub for the Bucs on a national level, but I agree with you. Don't want to see his swing change or possibly get hurt.

RE: How about these Pirates?
Welcome aboard Ragpicker. We're all youngins on this particular board lol
This is the most I enjoyed baseball in general in at least 15 years. There was a time that I absolutely hated the game. Now I'm taking out time to watch games that don't even involve the Buccos. Its just too bad I'm usually at work during most of the games tho.

I don't mind seeing Cutch in the HR Derby. I don't think its going to hurt him at all. Going to be fun to watch.
