I played the NCAA 14 demo and it looks a little cartoony to me. Still fun, you don't run into the back of your offensive linemen as much. Pretty much the same game with some refinements.

Hattiesburg - Ken London hauled in a 35 yard TD pass with 5:10 left in the game and Southern Miss rallied from a 17-3 halftime deficit to win 20-17.

Fans watched in shock as they watched Chase Ashley throw 2 interceptions and get sacked at inopportune times in the first half. All of them killed drives. Meanwhile East Carolina hit the two biggest plays of the half. Chris Nicholas caught TD passes of 40 and 74 yards as ECU raced out to the 14 point halftime lead.

The Eagles had seen enough, They came out of the locker room and promptly picked off ECU QB Cole Poland on the opening possession of the second half, they could only muster a Field Goal out of it but the tone was set. The Pirates would never get past midfield for the rest of the game as Southern Miss slowly chipped away the lead. After the London TD, the Pirates were forced to punt and the Eagles were able to run out the clock for it's 8th win of the season.

This most likely will be the last time the two teams see each other for the foreseeable future. East Carolina will be moving to the new American Athletic Conference next season.

The Memphis defense dominates again, blanking the Golden Hurricane 31-0 in Tulsa. Memphis held Heisman Hopefuls in check, QB Mix 8 of 24 for 144 yards, 0 TDs, and 8 INTs, WR Buffet, 0 catches, and WR Kane, 0 catches. The Tiger defense had 9 total INTs for the game, 5 of them by Soph CB Marcus Phillips.

With the win over Tulsa, the Tigers clinch the C-USA west crown, and will most likely face the winner of next weeks Southern Miss and Marshall show down.

Slow day at work, just went back through this thread and read from page one. It's kinda cool to see the progression of this thing over the seasons.

Orlando - When asked what was said at midfield after the game, Stark's response was terse.

"I said, and you can quote me, We handed you this ******* game."

4 turnovers, 1 fumble and 2 pick 6's, plus an interception return for 2 points off a failed Southern Miss conversion and you have a 26-19 Knights victory, which makes next week's game vs Marshall that much more important as a win could have clinched Southern Miss a share of the East.

There weren't a lot of pleasantries on the field or the press conference after this game as Southern Miss squandered away a chance for at least a share pf the CUSA East division crown with this loss.

Not as if Southern Miss didn't have it's chances, most in attendance will tell you that the better team lost the game. "It was those blasted turnovers, damn the 7." UCF was out gained by well over 100 yards but was able to cash in on the several Eagle miscues.

This will also see the end in the foreseeable future of this great rivalry, as Central Florida will follow ECU in the AAC next year.

"There's nothing else you can say, we played our guts out today and couldn't overcome the mistakes. It's no one's fault, that's the way it goes."

Game Stats: USM - UCF

Score: 19 - 26
1st: 12 - 6
Tot Off: 272 - 162
Rush/Yards/TD: 29/71/2 - 20/-19/0
Comp/Att/TD: 11/25/0 - 9/20/1
Pass Yards: 201 - 171
3rd: 4/12(33%) - 1/10(10%)
4th: 1/3(33%) - 0/0
2 pt: 0-1 - 0-0
RDZN/TD/FG: 1/1/0 - 1/0/1
turnovers: 4 - 1
Fumbles: 1 - 0
Interceptions: 3 - 1
PR: 21 - 0
KR: 65 - 0
Tot Yards: 358 - 152
Punt/AVG: 2/48.0 - 7/46.6
Penalties/yards: 1/10 - 1/5
T.O.P: 14:19 - 9:41

The East will be decided next week as Southern Miss travels to Huntington to take on Marshall with a spot in the CUSA championship game at stake.

I hope it is a 6 OT game, with all of the starters getting injured 03-razz

Kidding... good luck to both teams! I look forward to an epic C-USA title game (hopefully we can play it live and not sim it, since I will be out of town all next week.)

With the way I like to give the ball away, I'll be lucky to be within a TD after the 1st qtr.

RE: PS3 NCAA 13 - 2014-2015 (3 SPOTS OPEN - See Announcement)
Huntington: Turnovers did it again. Tied at 14 in the second qtr, Southern Miss forced a Marshall punt. Dominic Evens, usually very reliable, fielded the punt, lost a tacklers and.....fumbled....Marshall recovered, scored on a short field and Southern Miss never came close again. Marshall takes the CUSA East Title with a 35-21 win over Southern Miss.

"The gods just don't favor me for some reason. Well, damn them all, the old and the new, the 7 and even that Lord of Light! The Others can have!"

Southern struck first with a nifty 55 yard run by Chad Scales, Marshall would even it up with a 14 yard TD pass. Early in the 2nd qtr, the Eagles would cash in a pick 6 for a 14 -7 lead only to see it disappear with a 38 yard TD pass. That's when things took a turn for the worst, after the fumbled punt, Marshall took complete control of this one. The Eagles would cut it to 7 late in the 3rd qtr but by that time their defense had been on the field far too long and just ran out of gas.

"For 2 straight stinking games we play our guts out only to have fate rob us." Southern Miss indeed played well but to be fair, Marshall pretty much did what they wanted on offense when it mattered most...on third and long...

Marshall faced the Memphis Tigers for the CUSA championship in two weeks

Aw man, I was hoping for a National Championship rematch. Now I've dropped to #3 because of FIU still being undefeated. 01-lauramac2

I'm not saying I would have won had I not fumbled the ball because my defense was weak when I needed it the most but that was horse manure. I can't catch a break. I'm done after my bowl game until we start a new dynasty with NCAA 14. It's been fun guys.

I can only play late tonight (after 9) or on Friday, will be leaving town early saturday morning, and will not return until mid afternoon on sunday July 7th.

Maybe everyone can do their recruiting online, or early in the evening tonight so we can advance to the C-USA title game tonight?

Marshall can you play Tonight or Friday night? Then if possible, we could advance to bowl week as well...
