Why do we call sports spectators fans, when the don't move any air?

Because Uranus wouldn't have the same appealing effect on the photo.

I saw the pic on-line, and loved it. So I use it as my sig.

Doesn't that happen to everyone, every f'in day? Regardless of whether we want to or not.

Good question! I think exhaust fan would be appropriate because they should be emptying their lungs while creating sound waves.

They also move air during a "wave" as their asses oscillate and rotate.

A sports "fan" is an abbreviation of fanatic and this makes me think of the current political season.

So many voters stick with their political party like a sports team. Cowboys fanatics love their team, right or wrong, good or bad.

It's a sad commentary that voters have this same mind set.

Does putting the shoe on the other foot really help people relate?

How come when I went to Manhattan, there was no Empire State Building, UN Building, Radio City Music Hall, Central Park or subway?
