I just hope we don't play down to our competition, which can happen on occasion. Thankfully, that didn't happen against NMSU.

Bye Coach Price. Thanks for everything but time to move on.
Well. Looks like this is more accurate. I think we beat Tulane but now I'm not even sure about Rice. Three wins at most, maybe two.

This UTEP offense sucks. UTEP can lose the rest of the other games but as long as they beat the hell out of George O'Leary and UCF like they did with a terrible UTEP team last time in El Paso I'll be happy.

I struggle to say it PEP...but I just don't see it happening, especially in November.
On the plus side, I still think they beat Houston!

Remember that El Paso Times quote.... "college football teams traveling across two time zones win 15% of the time". UTEP is 4-1 at home against the east coast C-USA teams, that one loss coming from an overtime loss to ECU on a last second touchdown to send it to overtime. UCF lost 58-13 to a UTEP team that had the longest losing streak in the nation, their worst conference loss ever. So I like that ratio. With the whole Ereck Plancher death controversy over at UCF, I want to see the Miners beat the hell out of George O'Leary and UCF! This damn Miner offense just needs to get it together.

I'm with randaddyminer on this one, that whole situation with Ereck Plancher and his parents really sickend me. From reading stories of former football players of O'Leary's past, I now believe he played a major part in that poor kid's death. The sad thing was UCF fans were bashing Plancher's parents on rivals in defense of George O'Leary, that's messed up! You don't bash someone's parents when they lost their son because they file a lawsuit against the coach and the school and win their case.

Don't speak too soon. It's a long shot but nobody knows anything for sure when it comes to UTEP vs UH.

UTEP will pull one out of its butt... As to which team it will be? Gotta be Houston or UCF. I call Houston.

I want to see them win both especially against UCF. But UTEP has always struggled on the road more than at home. Houston lost at home to Texas State though.

UTEP"s season is officially over.
SMU was their last chance to prove that they had a chance to make a bowl. That is now nearly impossible.
Thanks for the memories Mike Price it is now time to start looking for a replacement.

Well I hate to say PEP but I'm not eating crow on this one. This Price team sucks. The only one I've missed so far was Houston. I seriously thought UH would coog it. Oh well.

They had this one! Tied it up twice, thought for sure it would go to overtime. If the defense could at least have made a damn stop in the final minutes this could have been different. Damn it! I'm predicting George O'Leary will go with losing seasons in the tougher Big East the next three years anyway leading to his firing. I wanted to win this one for Ereck Plancher's parents.

I'm looking forward to the UTSA game next season, they beat NMSU this year as they might be slowly becoming a football powerhouse. But they stole our hand signal and have the same colors, I sure as hell don't want them to come here and get a win either!

I don't foresee UTSA as a powerhouse anytime soon in football, maybe competitive. They have a ways to go in terms of on-campus facilites, consistent attendance, and so on. But as bad as we have been, they're probably beat UTEP until we get a coach to get this going.
Bball has even more ground to cover.
Their posters here seem passionate, but that's not the city's overall sentiment. At least not yet.

Looks like I've got them all right so far this year. Not a good thing for the program but could see it coming.

I predicted that UTEP would win this game and I was almost right. They always seem to play good against teams that they have no business winning against.
As for UTSA, they certainly seem to have a decent football program.
If I am not mistaken, they sold out the Alamo Dome in their first game of the season.

As did I! Tied it up after being two touchdowns down going into the minal minutes against what some consider the powerhouse of the league! They held UCF to their lowest scoring total keeping it close the whole time as UCF usually buried other C-USA teams early on in the first half! UTEP could have & should have won this game, the defense sadly just could not make a f****** stop in the final minutes as I thought for sure it would go to overtime for the Miners to take the win! They had this one!
As for UTSA, I do not want them to come into C-USA and have more success thatn UTEP! A win against them at home next season is a must! They are slowly building up but it would be a sad thing to see UTSA start having more success in football than UTEP.
