Does USF have any interest in building an on campus stadium or are you guys happy playing in RJS. I've read in some places that RJS is ripping you guys off, I've also read that you guys are happy with the arrangement.

From my understanding an on-campus stadium is out of the question. With all the problems Tampa encountered in building RJS I doubt there is a real rush to build a new stadium. Of course a part of USF will be happy, they are playing in one of the state-of-the-art NFL stadiums. One advantage to off-campus stadiums is the sale of alcohol. A major disadvantage is that money for tickets, parking, and concessions are shared with who ever owns that stadium therefore schools receive a smaller portion than they could on-campus.

...ripping you guys off... is a gross overstatement. Raymond James Stadium is a community-owned stadium that was built for the use of the Bucs, USF and the now-defunct Tampa Bay Mutiny soccer team. We pay no rent (although we are responsible for some fees incurred in operating the stadium). However, the naming rights, permanent advertising and concessions are owned by the Bucs.

Building an on campus stadium would be nice, but as much of a football fan as I am, I recognize that sinking approximately $300 million into a facility that will likely be used less than 20 times per year is tough to rationalize, especially when it costs us virtually nothing to use a stadium that just hosted the Super Bowl a couple of years ago...
