You will never win a game with 5 mistakes by the special teams esp 3 that lead to 1st Downs and one of those led to a TD rather than giving up a FG. Another mistake on special teams in OT wiped points from the board.

I contribute the loss due to playing unBeamer Ball like on special teams than a referees call late in the game.

If you've watched our last 4-5 big game losses, you'll see a lot of unbeamer-like special teams. It makes me wonder sometimes what it takes to lose a moniker like "great special teams program" when in each one of these games we have a series of multipe special teams blowups during the game. We still do some good things but we've been far from great for a long time.
Rumors out of Blacksburg are that this is the year VT gets back to playing great special teams. Hope it's true.
