Sure it would.......
There are more Carolina alumni in the Atlanta area than in any other spot in the US of A outside the state of North Carolina.

You could say the same thing about FSU. More alumni in Atlanta than anyone outside of Florida. Of course we know North Carolina runs this conference so they can't have this go against them.
FSU/GT and UNC/GT. Which do you think was the better football rivalry before ACC expansion in 2004?
Then again it should be a N/S split with Miami in the North anyways.

It would mean Syracuse would not play both BC and Pitt every year. Doesn't work for us.

Well we wouldn't want Syracuse to have a game taken from them since they have so much seniority in the ACC.... Doesn't matter that FSU lost GT though...
Once again, N/S split with Miami in the North solves your problems too. Those are the divisions that make most sense from a rivalry standpoint.

Plus it will finally make UNC and Duke have to travel by plane in division more than once a year.
In that case, Swofford's son will simply start up a commuter airline with low-cost express service between Chapel Hill, NC and Boston, MA. It will become "the official airline of the ACC". (Appropriately enough they will fly black helicopters).
Nah, if Swofford is involved then they will just throw money at Eastwind Airlines. It's based out of Greensboro. The ACC's got to do what it can to prop up another NC business, and they already have direct flights to Boston, Miami, Syracuse, and Pittsburgh.

CD, you do realize that Eastwind went out of business in 1999 don't you?

Yup.
Cozy division with most years not having to make a trip to the barren recruiting grounds of NY and NE, plus every other year trips to the great recruiting areas of Georgia, South Florida, and Western PA. Seems a shame it's wasted on a program that couldn't win more than 8 games with members of both the coaching staff, and academic hierarchy cheating for them.

Really? They should have called Swofford, he's always been about doing something to promote NC.

im fine with north south split with miami in the north but im sure vt and virginia would want unc and duke(the pair) in the north division then so it would be something like:
north-------------------------------------------------------south
miami------------------------------------------------------florida state
virginia tech----------------------------------------------georgia tech
virginia-----------------------------------------------------clemson
north carolina-------------------------------------------nc state
duke--------------------------------------------------------wake forest
pittsburgh------------------------------------------------maryland
syracuse--------------------------------------------------boston college

Lol, why? It's more balanced than anything I've seen. It's the perfect zipper starting south to north.

Because FSU is an assured sellout every other year for Clemson. We'll fight that tooth and nail.
Of course it wouldn't matter much. The 9 game schedule shows how much pull the football schools have in this joke of a conference.

I guess I understand, instead of a well balanced conference this needs to be a Clemson-centric conference. I'm sorry, you lost me. All I did was go south to north and split up rivals and make the divisions as even as possible. Are there even any other Clemson fans with computer access?
I kid, I kid. C'mon bro, this is a conference not a Clemson, we haven't done *&(% as much as we think we did, league. You're program finally won an ACC title, subsequently got blown out, and fandom blames it on the rest of us. Thanks for playing Kitty Mama.

No you don't understand. Typical because you are from UNC and don't understand football is footing the bill. Nobody expects much from the 4 NC schools in regards to football. most rational folks expect that in the major revenue producing sport there aren't but a few ACC schools who are going to produce on a better than average basis....FSU, Miami VT, Clemson, and GT. Nobody expects UNC to produce anything in football because they haven't done jack **** since 1980

Yes this again really. The fact that the rest of the conference has pointed towards the negatives of the schools that care about football the past few months demands that we point the blame towards the rest of y'all that ain't carrying your weight. Last time I checked we were all in this together...and you Miami bastards need to get you home game attendance to a decent number.
