Probably. All this really tells me is that the school presidents have not pushed for any division changes. The ACC is nothing more than an administration office to do whatever they are told to do - the schools make the decisions.

I know some FSU and Clemson fans have expressed an interest in jumping to the Big 12, but has anyone let the decision-makers know how you feel about divisions? Ultimately that's how things get done.

RE: Any update on whether the ACC plans to adjust the divisions?
Many FSU fans have emailed the AD and President and such. I would rather be in an ACC done the right way over the Big 12. But even the Big 12 is better than the dogcrap matchups FSU has now.

Which division is better?

Clemson
North Carolina State
Wake Forest
Maryland
Boston College

Clemson
West Virginia
Kansas
Kansas State
TCU

Plus FSU would get a crossover with Texas or Oklahoma and probably Oklahoma State or Baylor each season. The excitement level is clearly in the Big 12's favor here.

Now if FSU were to get Georgia Tech and North Carolina back in division, that would really even it up for the fanbase.

Yes, that easy division has lead to how many ACC titles in the last 10 years?

I agree 110% - you guys got the short end of the stick. VT is in the cat-bird seat. When my fellow Hokies whine about not wanting the divisions changed I just have to shake my head.

Admittedly it will never be ideal for a team near the edge of the territory like FSU (worse for Miami & BC), but pooling 5 of the middle 6 teams into one division (UNC, Duke, UVa, VT and Pitt) simply makes it worse and is patently unfair.

We are not even talking about difficulty here curtis. This is about matchups that are exciting for fans. Then again you guys know all about losing to easy competition. Pitt just paid 400 k for the right to be beaten by 2 TDs by Youngstown State after all...

FSU has been down for damn near 8 years now. Has nothing to do with whether or not the division is the right division. The divisions are actual competitive with the Atlantic holding a slight edge since the new divisions started. That doesn't mean they are done the right way for the football product though.

Yep. Good to see at least one Hokie who sees the screwjob that Clemson/FSU endured with these divisions.

Ok, so let's all sign a petition, endorsed by the CSNbbs Mafia and tell them we want our divisions to look like this -- that way, we can have peace on the board, b/c "Lord knows" if Ragu and CatDaddy ain't happy, none of us are gonna be:

Make sure to send it to the Faculty Reps and ADs...

Clemson
Florida State
Georgia Tech
Miami
*Pittsburgh (when they join)
Virginia Tech
Wake Forest

Boston College
Duke
Maryland
North Carolina
NC State
*Syracuse (when they join)
Virginia

Sorry, this one looks unbalanced, but I like some of the ideas. How about:

Cool Coastal
UNC
Duke
UVA
Va Tech
Miami
BC
SU

Hot-lantic
FSU
Clemson
GT
NC St
Wake
UMD
Pitt

Crossovers: FSU-Miami, UNC-NCSt, Duke-Wake, SU-Pitt, UVA-UMD, VT-Clemson, BC-GT

They don't care about championships and balance of divisions. They care about getting GT on their schedule even though GT doesn't seem to want to move.

Also I doubt there would be any permanent cross over partners. There's no cross division rivalry that needs protecting.

I would bet on a Texas school being in that division and I think it would be TCU. Even if it is Iowa State, the point still applies.

I never said anything about permanent crossovers. But with 8 conference games, you get 3 from the other division each year. That would most likely give FSU and Clemson either Texas or Oklahoma every year.

I'd like to point out that a cheerleader has once again gone personal. Of course it doesn't surprise me that a fourth rate wanna-be "sports journalist" 03-lmfao (sorry...thought I could get that out without laughing) would go that route. It's not like you have even been known for coming up with anything logical anywhere on these boards.

Actually the divisions should look like this:
Dook
Maryland
UVa
Wake Forest
Georgia Tech
Virginia Tech
Carolina

Miami
Florida State
Clemson
Pitt
Boston College
Syracuse
NC State

Oh, for sure. FSU should not be in the same division as its nearest neighbor but should definitely be in the same division with the 3 farthest members. 03-idea

Since we're just saying dumb crap, I think this is the best divisional alignments and crossovers:

FSU................Miami
Clemson......VT
GT.................UNC
UVA..............BC
NC State......Pitt
Wake...........Cuse
Duke...........Maryland
