The Scarlet Knights defeated the Temple Owls in BBall today, 59-53. Jerome Coleman lead the team in scoring with 28 points and played fantastic defense the entire game. The Knights led by as many as 18 points in the second half but allowed the Owls to get back into it, fortunately we were able to hang on for the win. The Knights are off to a 2-1 start and looking for big things this season!!!

RU,
You are welcome for Coach Waters.
Last year, Stan Heath did a fantastic job with our team, obviously, but YOUR coach built Kent State basketball into what it is. His influence persists and I'll be a fan of his always.
He is as good a coach and person as you will find--you have one of the VERY BEST coaches in the country, as he showed last year. Rutgers will be a power in the Bg East as long as he is there.
Good luck!
04-cheers

axeme, I agree before all is said and done, coach Waters will go down as one of the all time great coaches at Rutgers and possibly the Big East. I know thats a bold statement but he is everything you want in a coach...a solid teacher, great with the X's and O's, solid recruiter, disciplinarian when he needs to be, friend when he needs to be. He does everything with class. As you know this list could go on for another page!!! We are glad to have him in NJ, and we're hoping that he'll retire here as a legend.

He really has this team setting high goals, and not accepting mediocrity like we used to do. Check out this article about the Temple game.

...and they really shouold have won that Carolina game!
I watched it, and they had it under wraps, then just fell apart for about 5-8 minutes. It was awful--they'll learn from that as they prepare for the BE wars to come....
04-cheers
