I saw no call PI on that last Vandy possession.

I disagree. The defensive player grabbed the receivers arm when he was trying to catch the ball.

Too bad Vandy lost.

Wish there were other games on tonight. Too bad that was the only one. There were no other games at all in Tennessee tonight. At all.

All three McNeese FBS wins are against the Sun Belt.

Blatant PI.

SC is 0-0 with an assist from the zebras. If they are in the Top 15 next week it is a travesty.

I'm watching Idaho losing to FCS Eastern Washington on ESPN8 (The Ocho). I'm mainly watching because this is likely the last time you'll ever be able to see Idaho football on TV unless they make it deep into the FCS playoffs.

Ugh. Don't remind me. Thank goodness Miami is better than SBC teams. At least we won't lose to Bethune-Cookman. lordy lordy.

I'm so glad college football is back. Who'd have thought it could be so much fun watching a Vanderbilt game?

On another note, I question the need for 15 games on Thursday night to open the season. If you're on national television sure play on Thursday or Friday but what's the point otherwise? How many less fans will buy tickets to the Thursday night game that would have been there if the game was on Saturday?

that's what I mean. It was a "no call" should have been called in other words.

RE: Week 1 Open Thread
I feel for the Vandy kids who should have gotten at least one more first down (though with the way SC's defense was playing, hard to say Vandy would have definitely scored a TD).

A ref's decision (in this case a no-call) at a critical point in the game ended up defining the emd of the game - hate to see it. Though funnily enough, a couple plays earlier, Vandy avoided a Tackle-For-Loss thanks to a ref in just the right place in front of a SC defender.

First impressions:
1) Ga Tech better not look past BYU - their defense is real
2) Clemson can beat SC if they can stop the zone read
3) Wake has their hands full w/ Vandy (season finale)

- I like South Carolina to win the SEC East, but Connor Shaw has to stay healthy to do it.

- The fact Vandy called a TO to set up the play that the Gamecock defensive lineman(!) snuffed out, tells me all I need to know about Vandy this season. 6 wins, max.

- South Carolina's defense is good for 8 wins by itself.

Tennessee scores early and misses the extra point on a bad snap. NCState drives down inside the 20 and misses a field goal. Hopefully NCstate can make a stop here.

NCstate's not having any trouble moving the ball. Mike Glennon has been very accurate so far. NCState 7-6

Why is there an SEC logo on the right and ESPNU logo on the left? No ACC logo?

I think that's a chic-fil-a kickoff logo, not and SEC logo.

I saw an SEC logo with a blue background. It was where the down and distance usually is.

Maybe it was just a one time thing.

It appears to be there every time they take the down off. Did SEC buy sponsor rights to this or...?
