I'll be at the game to see these helmets in-person. Not a particular fan of them, but I do appreciate GT's efforts to consider something novel - especially for their game with us.

Interesting helmets. I wonder what quips the announcers for the game will make.

Russell Athletic does GT's uniforms ... and they're losing ground every day to Nike, Under Armor, and even Adidas. GT and Auburn were Russell's only big time outlets in football ... and now Auburn is UA. I know GT gets *alot* of money from Russell to wear Russell since we're in Russell's back yard ... it wouldn't surprise me if Russell was throwing money at GT for this "new look" crap that is popular among the Pro Combat types of the world.

If that's the case, then I would expect GT to drop Russell when their contract is up. Brand association is too important to a lot of recruits to risk losing them because you're not associated with Nike, Under Armor or Adidas.
