Things get pretty tough this week. I don't feel really good about picking WVU/Texas, Northwestern/Penn State, LSU/Florida, or Georgia/South Carolina.

I'm thinking that the Northwestern/Penn State matchup will be close. In close games, you have to make FGs. Penn State can't because their kicker is awful. I'm going with Northwestern.

There's a lot to like about WVU and Geno Smith this year. I just don't think they've run into a defense yet. I'm assuming, because I truly don't know, that Texas has one. If they do, I think WVU's aerial attack sputters enough for them to lose their first game of the year and first game against Bevo as a member of the Big XII.

Georgia chokes. Maybe next year?

I could really flip a coin on LSU/Florida. Based on recent history, though, I'm going with Florida.

It's well before the game, and we allow picks to be entered after the Thursday game but without counting the Thursday game. I'd say it should be allowed.

That's fine. We're not dealing with that many people that make post Thursday changes.

I don't have a problem with it. I'd decide on whether it is a hassle for the scorekeepers.
