Except you get more coverage and national attention when you're the only game in town. We need that more than "protecting high school football" whatever that means. A lot of high schools also play on Saturday so I don't think it's as big an issue as you make it out to be. Oh and how many kids play on Thursday? The national attention is what we need.

Yep. Those Sunbelt and MAC schools get a lot of attention playing on weeknights don't they? College football is to be played on Saturdays.

NFL was for Sundays.

There are probably a couple people who enjoy games on monday and Thursday.

I like UConn and SMU playing on Thursday or Friday once a year, especially if it's the only game on TV that night.

I loved the Thur night games (before nfl)...the Big East had some really really good ones.

I'm not a fan of Fri night games because hs football is HUGE in Cincy and it's just not a good time for the Cats to be playing...

How about Monday night college football?

The NFL used to play on ABC on Monday nights and dominate the ratings. Now they play on ESPN and share the stage with "The Voice"

FX shows reruns of 2 and Half Men on Mondays to meager ratings (0.5).

Playing Monday-Saturday is the same as playing Saturday-Thursday, so it would not disrupt the schedule like Tues/Weds games do.
