The box score only shows him getting six minutes. Was there any addressing of that in the post-game discussions?
My guess is it had to do with defensive lapses. But I think he's a catalyst with his energy and how active he is when he gets into the games. I can't say for sure, but I thought he was in the game during the first half when UC caught up after the first time Dayton shot ahead.
It's ironic that after years of failed or mediocre projects being brought in to fill those elusive big men spots, we have a guy who lands in our lap this year from out of nowhere who really appears to have the best basketball skills of any of those guys.

I don't think AK likes that Allen shoots the ball every time he touches it. AK needs to give tilford another look. This loss will help himin the future, I'll bt he is looking at films and stats of the team harder now.

Any truth to Allen having been on the Mickey D candidate list in HS.?
Actually, UC went ahead for a little while when Allen was in the game

Kirk and Jihad combined for what 2 for 12!?!?
Why would AK care if Allen or Tilford are shooting alot. It won't be any worse than Kirk and Jihad. At least Allen is bsuting arse out and trying and diving for loose balls....unlike most of the team.

Nachoman, that's about how I saw it, as well.
This team has no real identity at all, right now. Playing with that kind of purpose, I thought, was the difference between what UD did and what we were doing last night.
And, on top of everything else, I don't think that the LeGree distraction helped our team at all in prepping for last night.

If he was play no defense it would only match the defense being played by the Seniors on the court.
He was the only player that came off the bench with the fire to play. He made mistakes but I would rather have mistakes made when hustling as opposed to the standing around that I saw last night.
All I saw was Dayton players on the floor getting every loose ball and beating us to every rebound. It does not take a trained eye to see this stuff.
Maybe AK should start the second five Saturday and make a point.

I would start Allen...what do you have to lose. He can get 3 or 4 rebounds just standing still. Which is what Kirkland has done. As far as Mohammed, Im sorry he doesnt deserve any more chances. He's gotten worse than last year. Just my thoughts.

Chadd Moore is exactly what this team needs. He is the veteran point guard who will come into the game and make sure everyone in the game is doing their job, and that is something UC does not have right now. Downey will get that in time but right now these bearcats need Moore and when he does come back we will all notice a difference in the way this team plays. Anyone who saw him in summer league knows what i am talking about.

Last year people were down on Jihad because he shot too much. This year he doesn't shoot at all, and people are still pissed at him. He needs shots to get going. Unfortunately, AK would rather Kirkland take those shots. I don't see how anyone thinks Jihad's gotten worse. Either he's too scared to shoot or AK won't let him.

Jihad doesn't shoot the ball this year? Huh?? I turned on WLW to listen to the game the other night and the first thing I heard was, "Jihad shoots an NBA range 3 pointer....that's way off the mark." The problem with his shooting is, he doesn't take good shots. He will shoot when his opponent is right in his face or as soon as he gets the ball without passing to anyone or looking at his options. He does take better shots than Kirkland.

He had 3 shots last game. Devan had 12.

Hicks,
You are dead on. Yes he has been ranked from the game because of shooting as well he should. The dude jacks up some cra-p from ridiculous range with absolute no one under the basket for a board.
I would sit all of their sorry arses until they learn how to rotate the ball from side to side and make the other team at least work some on defense
