Congrats to the Cards and Irish who both move on tonight. All the other BE teams with a chance to get in were left out so its up to UofL and ND to represent well. On the good side only the Top 16 in the Volleyball Tournament get a number seed to gain favorable match-ups and both the Cards and Irish are seeded.

Notre Dame actually played their first round last night and beat Dayton 15-13 in the deciding 5th game to move on. Tonight in a 2nd round game they beat Northwestern 3-0 as they won each game by 3 points or less. Nice job by the Irish in closing out each close game.

Future Matchups:

In the Sweet 16 Notre Dame (#6, 30-3) will play tomorrow's winner between California (19-10) & Wisconsin (#11, 24-6).

If Louisville (#9, 30-2) can beat Maryland (28-4) tomorrow, they will play Florida (#8 32-2) in the Sweet 16.
