RE: ESPN reporting MD and RU are a done deal
Aside from the impact to the BE and ACC, let it be said..the Big 10 will regret this short-sighted choice of schools, neither of which could tie the shoes of Michigan and Ohio State. You could pick 20 schools more competitive in the long term than Rutgers and still have room on the list, not to mention the funding issues in NJ that threaten to cut state support for the school as a whole.
So when's the move to add USC to expand into the LA market?

RE: ESPN reporting MD and RU are a done deal
As much as I can't stand the realignment, the B1G has not done anything on a whim. This is a result of the ND and their scheduling agreement. Which now comes into question. The other point that is being talked about is the the next shoe to drop. Everyone is considering Rutgers a done deal. It very well may be, but, you need to look at Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, Florida St., and Clemson.
The Big East needs to react first. If you have the oppurtunity put a bug in the ear of Syracuse, Pitt, BC, and Virginia. I think everyone can agree if DUKE/UNC go anywere it wont be the Big East. The one great thing the Big East has going for it is that the teams it could lose UCONN, L'Ville, Cincinn, are a lot less likly to be taken if the the previous 4 stated teams are open to talking to the SEC and Big 12.

I think that UNC and UVA to the SEC is not out of the question at this point.

Maryland vs Indiana is going to be a big TV draw. Anyone have the number to sign up for the Big 10 network?

MD & Neb, Delaney should be fired.
with that being said, the only possiable reason for MD,

There is no reason to hate Rutgers.
Any of us would have taken this deal. Do you folks actually think that anyone would turn down $30-million plus per year?
This board may be defunct by the end of the calendar year.
