Who replaces Tulane?
I guess it's never too early to ask, but who do you think will replace Tulane if they do in-fact leave for the Big East? First school I think of is UL-Lafayette, keeps a strong presence in Louisiana, and makes the East/West divisions easy since it wouldn't split up ECU and USM (if neither of them leave, and that 's a big if). Arkansas State could be another target I guess, haven't been as much of a fan of them as some others, but I can see why they'd want to add them.

I did hear a rumor that we told MTSU and WKU that they'd be the next ones moved up, but if so that'd probably split ECU and Southern Miss...

MTSU, WKU, or Ohio

All 3 would be solid additions.

Add Arkansas State and those would be my top 4.

Preferably WKU for purely selfish basketball reasons.

Anyone is an upgrade. My high school draws more fans so they might be a good option.

Are they in a good market?

It's okay, but nothing special. 51st I believe. Charlotte and Norfolk are both larger markets.

I doubt this one was a market add.

Georgia State
Middle Tennessee
Florida Atlantic.

In the entire history of CUSA only two teams have been taken for non-market driven reasons. ECU and La.Tech.

CUSA will stick with the plan.

RE: Who replaces Tulane?
If ECU is gone too I could see the following scenarios from the SBC

1.) WKU and MTSU- Built in rivalry and gets CUSA back into TN.
2.) MTSU and FAU- Gets CUSA back into TN and picks up rival/travel partner for FIU.

Honestly, whoever we choose, will almost assuredly have better football and basketball programs than Tulane. Just real talk.
