ESPN Video on Nbe: 9 CUSA teams, 2 MWC teams, and 1 MAC team?
If a school perceives an advantage by changing conferences, that's fine. It is a free country after all. But I don't think the public perception will change that dramtically and will receive the same kind of response as in this ESPN video:

In fairness, Temple was BE before MAC.

How long do you have to be in a conference before you are considered a member? I mean really.... USF, Louisville, Cincy, Marquette, and DePaul have been in the Big East for almost a decade... I don't hear people still calling Virginia Tech, Miami, and Boston College still Big East members... I don't hear much ESPN chatter of Syracuse, Pittsburgh, and Notre Dame joining Big East 2.0... hell even while their still in the Big East, all ESPN does is talk about their ACC membership... They don't talk about the Big 12's additions, or the PAC's additions, or the MWC who has decimated the WAC to stay alive... So I don't understand why its only the Big East that gets chattered about like this with former conference references... Each conference expands and replenishes with the best of the leagues below it!
It's just McMurphy tweeting the Big East in the negative light and everyone affiliated just repeating it. The total value of a conference is greater than the sum of the parts... we've seen this time and time again, with lesser pieces making a bigger impact than former, supposed better ones. The combination of the right markets from each of the conferences, PLUS the leftovers and traditional basketball (non-football) schools makes the Big East more valuable than where they are coming from from a television/media contract perspective.

Just trying to position as best of the rest conference... treading water as usual. Also, a bidding party is trying to devalue a product before they make a bid... no way!

Would be very fitting if Marinara was still in charge.

Is there a math problem here? Big East football will have 2 Big East teams, 8 former CUSA teams, and 2 former MWC teams in 2014. Current independent Navy and one other school are scheduled to get on board in 2015. Big East basketball will have 7 Northeast teams and 9 former CUSA teams in 2014-15.

Louisville is a CUSA team. In fact I think that they are one of the founding members of CUSA.
TCU is a WAC/CUSA/MWC/BE team. But who is keeping track?
