Facilities look nice. Especially your bkb arena. If you built it that big it must mean you have a good bkb program unlike some that only seat 6k in our own conference. Your fb stadium looks nicer than some that left but have you ever filled it? Glad you were invited and just in time as I'll be heading out to Nashville in the first week of December. Too bad we won't have time to visit your campus. Oh, by the way, was your fb stadium named for Floyd of Andy Griffith fame? Ha, ha, j/k.

M Basketball: Fresh off 27-7 season and NIT appearance (ask Marshall) with 4-1 start including a win over UCF. We've hit our stride after 8-9 years of 16-19 win basketball.

W Basketball: Titles in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, and 2012. Four straight NCAA appearances and 8 of the last 9.

Baseball, Volleyball, Men's Golf, Women's Soccer are all extremely competitive, all with multiple championships over the past few years.

What I'm sayin' is, we expect to win. Immediately.

What is your football record against Memphis and all other CUSA schools? Just curious, not a big deal for me.

against Memphis 16-8-1

UCF 0-1-0 last played 1999
La Tech 1-3-0 last played 2000
Marshall 0-2-0 last played 1994 (we were 1-AA)
UNT 5-7-0
FIU 5-3-0
Southern Miss 1-0-0 Last Played 2009
Tulsa 0-1-0 last play 1993 (we were 1-AA)
UAB 1-2-0 Last Played 2000

and FYI WKU 33-29-1

Of course, before 2007, there was a 53 year gap in the series. Congrats, you beat us...rather unconvincingly...at an epic low period in our program.

Aside from that, congrats on moving to CUSA. I thought you should have been selected last time.

I believe we've beaten you guys more than once since 2007. Also, not all of those years were epic years for us either. Stop with the excuses and just say "Good games" and move on.

I've seen a few pictures that show the arena full or damn near full.

So far for the season they seem to be averaging around 5500. Not stellar, but not terrible either. Probably more than Charlotte has averaged thus far, but we should easily crest 6000 this Saturday.

We've only had two home games against less than stellar names. We've got UAB, Ole Miss, TSU, and the start of conference play coming up. I wont' be surprised to see our number closer to 7000 by the end of December.

Our attendance should go up, considering the last time we played UAB at home was one of the biggest crowds of one of the "darker years" when we were terrible at basketball... I wouldn't be surprised to see 7-8 for that game. MT basketball will be big this year. We play Vandy at the Stone in Nashville too, and we should bring a huge contingent for that one. I'd expect a win as well, since Vandy has stunk so far this year. Really, really excited about MT basketball this year in particular. Got a gem in Shawn Jones and a freshman of the year candidate in Tweety Knight. Impact player and starter already.

UAB, Ole Miss, Tennessee State, and conference play... all sure to bring people out! The Thanksgiving weekend game had 5,800 or something, much much larger than it would've been just a couple of years ago. MT basketball is on the rise!

I did a lot of research on your team earlier today and came away impressed. Seems like most of the current team will be gone by the time you guys start CUSA play though. Seemed to be very junior/senior heavy.

To the brim? No. A few close calls mostly against AQ teams and hyped-up games. Not good enough for any MT fan.

Damn right about that. Even the 30,000+ we had against Georgia Tech last year all left disappointed. Would have been better if we had the 30k this year, and made 'em all come back after doing so well. At least we had 18k for our last game, instead of the typical 10k we see for chilly senior day games (even if it was "paid" attendance)...

MTSU is the one school that was in the SBC that I thought didn't belong there and belonged in CUSA.

Had we added WKU instead of F_U, CUSA would be a definite 2 bid league even without Tiger H|gh

no offense to either Florida school we need your location but your athletics are nothing to write home about as of now... P.S. you guys have upside and I hope you reach that... I mean no ill will to any CUSA teams

I'm a Marshall fan that's glad MTSU is in. Will be a good road trip for our crew of 15 to take.

As far as the NIT thing though, lucky for you we got screwed on seating in the tourney. Our ten days before that game was a bus trip to Memphis, back to Huntington, back to Memphis for the tourney, 4 games in 4 days including a 3OT game, back on a bus to Huntington (which broke down and took about 16 hours to get home, rest one day get back on a bus to go play you all. Don't know how we had a #44 RPI, #1 ranked OOC schedule in the country, made the championship game in our conference and only got a 5 seed in the NIT.

Oh, and yes, I'm still mad about it.

My brother was an All-American for MTSU baseball back in the early 70's. So I am all in for the Blue Raiders in CUSA!! Do they still have the "Rail Birds" at the baseball stadium?

Reading comprehension...work on it. I never said you only beat us once. Have I made excuses? Didn't think so. Since 2007, pretty much everybody beat our ass.

Anyway, enjoy CUSA. It's a lot of good fans...and be sure to mention that El Paso is an awful place for a conference tournament because its too far from anything...except Juarez, the murder capital of the world. UTEP fans love that discussion.
