If Arkansas State is good for CUSA, that's okay by me. They do expand the footprint in a good way and provide CUSA exposure in yet another state.

10-3 is 2011, 8-3 right now receiving votes in all polls. Growing program

Also in a stAte of over 3 million people with only one other FBS program. Arky St. will be making noise for a long time to come.

I believe our move up started with our succesful mascot and identity change. It was tough losing some tradition but the new start really triggered the fan base to start fresh also. Finally we are really able to market the program.

Not to mention that we beat Texas A&M in our first game as the Red Wolves.

Ark State would work in west, paired with WKU especially.

I don't see ArkSt fitting the model but Gus Malzahn would be one of the highest paid coaches in CUSA, he makes more than Colorado's coach did and on top of that is provided two cars and a home in a gated golf community.

School has announced a $22 million indoor practice facility with new offices, locker room and training space.

When Gus leaves for whatever big money AQ job whenever that day comes, finding quality applicants won't be an issue.

2 year roll yess and no..we had been close for years. Never able to break the road woes in the past..we do own a 8 game win streak against UNT. so to say we are below you is stupid!

We just wish that we would have turned the corner years ago and wouldn't be on the verge of being left behind when we really are ahead of the curve

I am pretty sure that if you read my post I was pretty respectful and said that you would be a good add if we are looking for a good school that cares about it's sports. I don't think I said you were below anybody. Adding a school in Arkansas also makes sense geographically. I simply made the comment that you can't get completely caught up in what has happened the last couple of years because success on the field is not always guaranteed.

I will say that finding one good coach is hard, finding two in a row is harder. If Malzahn gets stolen away, well, the odd are not in your favor. We can speak first hand how a bad hire can wreck your program in no time. USM is feeling our pain as well. We have been there, done that.

You guys have worked hard, like a lot of us have. You can't really do anything about whether or not some TV exec likes where you are located.

The biggest change is not the coaches...its the rebranding to Red Wolves. Energized the fan base and finally let us billboard the state and market ourselves. The coaches helped solidify the rebrand.

a bad market team can still be heavily watched and supported..Trust me their will be tons of coaches lined up to be our next bc we are becoming a gateway to sec..although we really don't want that but..Malzahn will stay here another 2 years at least!

Sun Belt ability to attract quality coaches has increased. We have a nice stable of coaches. Their criteria for taking a coaching job are often different than those used in realignment.

Eh...I dont care either way. Ill play SBC, CUSA, anywhere as long as we are in a conference.

ASU does not make any sense though in CUSA's current expansion pattern. You guys have not been paying attention to records, but rather the market. We offer no market, just good football, good baseball, and a strong fanbase. (Oh and terrible basketball)

Feel free to add whoever you want, as long as we have a seat at the Non AQ table...im fine.
