Texas State

But it will probably be them 3 plus NMSU.

This is where I think CUSA is headed............
CUSA WEST--North Texas, UTEP, Tulsa, UTSA, Texas State, NMSU, Rice, Arkansas St, LaTech
CUSA EAST--FAU, FIU, Marshall, Southern Miss, Old Dominion, Charlotte, UAB, WKU, MTSU

Your sniffing is getting close. There will be some more losses but for conversation in addition to above add ULM and ULL to the West along with South Al and Troy in the East. Thats eleven on each side, playoff game, and travel expenses reduced considerably.

ULM & ULL won't get an invite as long as Tech's in CUSA

La Tech is NOT an official member of cusa at this time and has NO vote until 6-1-2013.

You're a marshall fan, aren't you. You see sunbelt schools as a trade up. And, again, for Marshall's purposes, it probably is. Other aspects of a conference and programs aren't important to you. Fair enough.

It doesn't matter what conference you bring schools up from. That's irrelevant. What does matter is fan support, facilities, and finding schools that are committed to becoming better programs. Schools that have the commitment and desire to get better for the long haul.

2 of those 3 photos = the away side. Looks to me like away visitors suck just as hard at travelling to us as we suck travelling to home.

JDTulane or other Tulane fans, Did you guys know ahead of time you were getting Big East invite or were you blindsided last Tuesday ?

Reason I ask is that the only people I've heard say Tulsa has a decision to make tomorrow are the ESPN announcers. No inside news leaking out at all (if there really is any news to be leaked).

IF Tulsa really has a choice to make, I'm still not sure which is best for Tulsa, anyway. CUSA, MWC & Big East all have their positives & negatives. I'd assume if we're actually moving now, 90% chance it is MWC. Maybe the choice is to move now or wait things out w/ the BE.

My bet is still on this being an incorrect rumor by ESPN announcers.

Who knows....maybe there will be a few surprises tomorrow? Maybe the reasoning for the possible move is that maybe Boise and SDSU are going back to the MWC? I could see that being a possibility.

Rumors started the day before. And we knew the conference. But for Tulsa its a MWC decision, not BE.

To be clear, you are saying its the fault of the visiting for not filling up the away side?

What's with all the Texas State supporters? That school just had less than 3000 for their final game. They a staged 18k because Texas Tech fans bought tons of season tickets for first game. It was a sellout and they didn't want to get left out.

They have beautiful facilities, but their football is mediocre at best. They have a long history of mediocracy (100+ years) and an AD that is about as useful as breasts on a nun. A school president that could care less about athletics. And a basketball team that is embarrassing, even at the lowly southland conference level. They do have good baseball and a good dance team full of hot sloots.

I'm pretty comfortable in saying that JD is attempting to end the Tulane attendance discussion with some humor rather than extend the conversation that had no business in this thread to start with.

Not true. I was at the game. The attendance at our last game was 15,106 with very few New Mexico State fans in attendance.

It was weird but the stadium seemed real vacant until halfway thru the first quarter then the crowd rolled in and filled in the lower deck at about 75%

That looks like halftime, or 4 minutes just before the game starts. Either way, it doesn't look good at all.

You don't have to lie to kick it. I watched the game, the stands were empty. Your own twitter guys said 5k was a lot. 15k was the official attendance, but not butts in seats. I'm not saying that you should announce actual attendance, cause to me it's the same, but don't try to pimp your school with the biggest lie of never never land.

Unless the program that you support has the letters e, c, and u in its name, we all have or have had attendance challenges at times. Some of those issues are W/L related, some are market penetration related, some are related to poor marketing/administration, etc; but almost all of us have had challenges.

Continually pointing out others that have those issues gets old and serves no real purpose, especially since we all (or at least realistic posters) acknowledge that tickets sold = reported attendance.

How did you watch the game without a feed? There was about 5K in the beginning before the lower decks started filling up.
