NIU (and the MAC) needs to act like they've been in this situation before.

Everybody knows that the BCS money will be split amongst all non-AQ conferences. Except, nobody else has to bite the bullet for unbought tickets to the Bowl game.

So really, NIU is making everybody else money but themselves.

The money is not split evenly. The MWC took 60% of the split and the other conferences had to split the remaining 40% when TCU went a while back. Google it.

Hey lets be fair. You know that as much as MAC fans go around mocking Marshal that essentially the same minority of Marshal fans are doing the same about the MAC. The two groups both like to attack each other here.

So you would think that after a decade that the Marshal fans would be past it.

Besides we would also be looked at as the "wronged" party in this situation and the tendency is that the "wronged" party tends to remember it longer fo rwhat it is worth.

Sooner fans don't seem to think LSU will be a challenge. Maybe their 0 wins over Top 25 teams gives them confidence (they can't lose to every one of them, can they?). Can't wait to see us kick the crap out of them.

No.

What I said was everybody gets money...but NIU is going to be on the hook for unsold tickets to the bowl/travel expenses.

40% of all teams that play in a BCS bowl end up losing money by doing it. NIU will be one of them.

Congrats NIU Hope you beat FSU...

NIU had a hell of a season. It's gonna be the only BCS game I end up watching this year. Hope y'all and Jordan Lynch destroy the Criminoles, dude's a beast.

NIU has been doing things for a few years now. They have a very good team and are used to winning and I think they have a better chance to win this game than most (at least the BC$ media types) are giving them credit for. Will be a big challenge but I wouldn't be shocked to see them win.

NIU must take 17,500 tickets for the game but their season average attendance was 15,670.
