The irony is he decrys their schedule yet they are denied the opportunity to play the AQ powers.

But if NIU wins, they'll be the next Boise State, and ESPN will slobber all over them.

I hate the World Wide Loser.

Wow, they just said Jordan Lynch (NIU QB) will be on at the top of the hour....

After they way they've all acted, I'd walk off the set if I were him.

The E-Cartel can just go to H-e-.. you know where. Especially Kirk (he's one of the biggest pompous asses on the entire network) the people who refuse to congratulate the kids and whine because "their" choices to get the opportunity.

Ever notice that certain imbeciles on the Cartel don't make themselves available to fan commentary?

I'd love for Lynch to call out the pompous asses... Has anyone ever been brave enough to do that yet on air?

I love this tweet:
willbrinson Tell you one thing: Northern Illinois is WAY more deserving of the BCS this year than Virginia Tech last season.

AMEN, Steve.

ESPiN can go jump off a cliff. I just might make arrangements for an Orange Bowl appearance this year.

I love it. David Pollack wasn't amused by it either. I hope NIU has a good showing against FSU.

I know but, UAB didn't make any noise and allowed Jay Bilas to think he was right. However, VCU showed that they deserved it and kicked a lot of BCS level conference ass on their way to the final four.

RE: I think Kirk is crying
F*** him. Crying is all he does. He cries when team x doesn't get a bowl, and he cries when team y does get a bowl. If it wasn't for whining about the bcs, the big nancy wouldn't make a noise (other than softly cooing when corso rubs his gavina) in the entire month of december.

making kirk cry like a big puussy is the one thing about the bcs that I actually like.

RE: I think Kirk is crying
The inmates wanted to run the asylum and got their wish. Don't be surprised when one of the "special" ones decides to get all stabby.

And in what might be an unpopular opinion around here, I agree. Oklahoma got jobbed. Clemson and Georgia a little, too. But they wanted this system and they also wanted to keep the media, certain college presidents and congress off their backs. Should they really be surprised at this?

If Oklahoma, Georgia and Clemson fans want to cry about it, that's fine. But if they get in the championship game with a loss next year, and an undefeated non-AQ, or hell, even an undefeated Big East team gets left out and they're angry about it, don't mock the little guys for crying about what you cried about the year before.

Doesn't matter what UAB did or didn't do in the NCAA tournament. UAB deserved to be there by winning a regular season title in a good C-USA.
