Is going to be just fine.

Nice southern conference with regional rivalries.

I think Texas State and WKU come in.

USM will dominate the conference and if they go undefeated will get to a BCS bowl.

UAB will always be UAB. Rice will always be RICE. Marshall can suceed in this new conference.

CUSA is and always will be a fantastic conference. ITs always embraced upstarts and helped every school thats ever been a member elevate its program.

He's only saying it because he thinks Tulsa is leaving (and they might very well be, hard to know at this point).

If Tulsa gets stuck in CUSA, I bet he'll be back to hating it.

RE: Future CUSA
I honestly believe an undefeated C-USA champion (be it Southern Miss, Tulsa or ODU) could still be left out of a "Contract Bowl". Remember, it looks like this will be done entirely by a selection committee. Until the day comes where this committee chooses an undefeated C-USA team over an 11-1 Boise State, I choose not to believe it.

You fans that dont want your schools here I get it. But could you not bash what the leftovers have to work with. Its getting old and we know how you feel trust me you have let us all know that we suck and can not ever live up to the level you are now at.

Not true; I fully expect for there to be new UCFs and USFs, i.e. schools that come out of FCS and quickly surpass USM. Marshall won't be one (sorry), but any of the incoming Florida or Texas schools could be.

As for enthusiastic fans of those schools having to deal with bitter USM fans, I'm afraid I don't really sympathize. You got your conference bid and you've got upward mobility. My advice is to settle for that. You'll never get my respect; I don't care how many manufactured bowl games ESPN manages to get you.

I respect USM and so your scared of being by passed by the new additions and I dont want or need your respect and does 0-12 mean anything to you. And the bowl games Marshall has been to were there and took the bid they were created for us or they would no longer exist

RE: Future CUSA
and btw your in the same position marshal is in. your market sux and you have no money so I would venture to say you are where you will be for a while unless another major shakup happens. Then you may get lucky and get a call to the big east. What you dont understand getting on here and bashing the conf etc is not going to get you invited so why not make the best of the situation and win a conf like Boise State did and maybe it will take care of itself . For gods sake its not like Boise st won the pac 12 to get their attn they won the WAC and the MTN west and did pretty good while doing it

RE: Future CUSA
My comment about manufactured bowl games wasn't directed at Marshall. Marshall and USM are in similar positions.

If I tear down a conference on this board, it's because it's a CFB board and I'm sharing my opinion. I tear down the MAC because I think they're crap. It's the same with CUSA.

As for 0-12, I think there's a whole lot more of that sort of thing coming. So I'm not sure what the argument is there.

RE: Future CUSA
Dude, I don't think anyone understands the Big East's BSU decision, least of all you. But I think it will come to be seen as a very bad decision on the part of the Big East. Really, it has already. The Tulane decision was clearly the result of a completely different thought process. Also, the only possible reason for adding BSU (to keep AQ status) turned out to be bogus. So I think the BSU model of getting into a better conference is dead.
