Revised ESPN Contract @$19M per year
Puts us much closer to the SBC.

Gotta think B12 talk will die down...I think we only have to watch the SEC now. I don't think UVA or UNC are clamoring to go to the B1G.

Disclamer: I have no idea how reliable this guy is

Are you saying it puts the ACC closer to the Sun Belt Conference? I'm misunderstanding something...

Some poster will manage to find something negative to say about this development.

I'll try....

The average might be 19 million but it is only worth 12 million for the first 10 years!

19 million isn't too bad... One thing I would say is all we have left now for TV negotiatons is Big Ten and SEC redoing their contract. 19 million might look really small when those 2 are done if you know what I mean.....

My only question(as should be yours)- is there any extension involved? If not, great. If so, that'd be a pretty bad thing I'd say....

yeah, sec,b10 arms race is the bigger issue pulling away from the rest.
They're shortly going to be clearly 1 and 2.
Acc is clearly 5.
You just wonder, how much do these schools need?

Don't forget - Big XII counts exit fee money as income, so should ACC.

Hmmm. $50M / 11 members (at the time) = $4.54 million per team (one time, hopefully)

It'll be interesting to see how this news(if accurate- have to say that just because not really one of the more known writers putting this out)- plays on the Maryland exit fee.

Just wait until the league starts to build in the Ncaa tourney credits to add onto that payout and the bowl money. I'm wondering if the Tourney credits that the Acc will pull in with Cuse, L'ille, ND and Pitt will bring will bring earnings in line with say, the Pac 10. And when will the Acc start getting credit for the new schools credits?

That is the next thing the NCAA needs to tackle...about 150 schools in Div 1 BB are leeches just collecting welfare checks. Schools with high school gyms and attendance in the low 100s.

Yes it all adds up. with the team's that will be in the ACC then. Good year's it could add 1/2 mil too a million per team payout. Getting A invite to the Ncaa Pay's . The further A team goes the more it makes.
