It's your first year here. He always says that.

We are merely returning.

Yeah, it was CUSATalk back then and most us Niners got banned due to some crazy Memphis dude and his bowling scores. I think it was the CUSATalk board where that happened. It's been a while.

I'd forgotten about the bowling scores discussion.

CUSATalk was run by 49er fans but there was a huge disconnect between 49er and Tiger fans.

Some of those threads were legend. Cal once stated in the media that Charlotte stole our NCAA bid using Judy Rose's influence over the selection committee.

Yeah, that's one huge reason for many Charlotte fans distaste of all things Memphis and Cal in particular. I mean, he whined and complained even though Charlotte beat Memphis that year AND Memphis played in the weaker CUSA divison. Dude was a crybaby and probably still is.

I can remember a comment at a road game. "Charlotte are the Philadelphia Eagles Fans of Tobacco Road." I blew that comment off. After seeing our fans on these boards, it couldn't be more true. Take that for what it is. The Eagles once booed Santa.

Never mind, we held on for a huge overtime win vs. Chicago State, which apparently is a school that exists
