8,307 (Vandy probably had 300-500 there, barely filled up one section)

Kerry Hammonds with a steal and layup under 2 mins to get the win.

Yep. Anyone who thinks we can't be relevant in Nashville got a lesson if they watched that one. We had 95% of the crowd, conservatively. May have been 98%.

Once you beat em often enough they'll refuse to schedule you.

Then they'll say you don't play anybody.

It's already happened in football. We beat them in football the last three times we played them and they bought out of two different contracts due to those victories.

We finally get them back on the schedule(coincidentally the year after our series with you guys end) and we finally get them in Murfreesboro, best of all the series kicks off in Murfreesboro so even if we beat them the first year and they buyout again(I actually think all four games get played this time regardless, but I digress) we'll at least get a home game out of it.

Not sure why you'd want to play in our house anyway. Vanderbilt home games (football and basketball) come along with some of the most homer ref-jobs ever. I stopped showing up to VU sports events because it was amazing how one-sided the foul calls were in basketball (and the penalties in football were also the same). It's clear how A.J. Ogilvy got his numbers here - and had the ego to think he'd be drafted in the NBA the next year. Likewise, it's no surprise Vandy bball never goes far in the dance - it's the home-court advantage - and don't credit the fans and the student section - it's totally the ref-jobs.

I agree 100%. I've seen some STRANGE things happen to the road team over there in Memorial Gym. I've long referred to it as Cheat-em Gym.
