What's The Next Step For The Rutgers O
After a couple of attempts, I can't bring myself to sift through the bile at the Rutgers Rivals board much less post there. So here's my question. Obviously the offense can not be this bad going forward if Rutgers expects to compete in the B1G so what's the next step?

1. HC Change?
2. OC Change?
3. Change of Offensive style?
4. Change of QB?
5. Other?

There is a lot of clamoring for a spread offense, but our last attempt to implement it (2009-2010) was even worse than this. If that is the answer, are we as fans willing to be patient and suffer our lumps getting it off the ground?

I'm not ready to throw Flood under the bus yet, but he's on the hot seat for me next year. The defense is going to be worse next year so he needs to get the offense up to task. I don't think Rutgers needs to change play styles. For me I'm not so sure how to judge Brock as an OC. I didn't like the playcalling this year, but I'm not sure how much of that was being handcuffed by Nova.

When it comes down to it, I wouldn't shed a tear about any change made.

Generally I agree with this. One of my friends raised the point that Nova and to a lesser extent the O-Line's inability to consistently open up the run handcuffed what Brock and Spence could do with the offense. I think you need to make it a wide open competition between Nova, Dodd and Rankin. You also need to try and find the best JUCO QB available.

Flood's statement that Nova there will be no QB competition in 2013 greatly shook my faith in where we are heading. I believe Nova will progress next year, but he set the bar pretty low with his performance from the KSU game going forward.

The starting QB position has to be re-evaluated. No doubt about it. Even if RU ends up sticking with Nova, he needs to understand that his current level of performance is unacceptable. That is some of the worst QB play I've seen in a bowl game for as long as I can remember.
