It's not realistic at all. If it were to happen, we'd go to the MWC. There is mutual interest, and some would argue we're already on the fence as of this moment, and that's pre-Boise, SDSU, Cincy, and UConn defections.

What I think will happen:

My condolences to the rest of the league with Boise, SDSU, Cinci and UConn spending most of their time bad mouthing the league and trying to get out. Fresno has been in a league with Boise for over 10 years and at least the last 8 have been this way. I see no reason why it would change.

SDSU has actually said they are committed, regardless of what Boise does. Whether that's just their AD's version of "coach speak" or if they really mean it is debatable.

Voted BE. If Aresco goes All Sports and gets any two of the MWC to commit, BSU/SDSU stay BE with a Western Division. The key here........is any two. To me BYU/AF are off the table. If Fresno/UNLV say no, then invite two others. Doesn't even matter which teams they are. IMO, bringing Colorado State could trigger Air Force (plus Navy staying committed). Or get one from MWC plus Tulsa.

at some point these schools got to start looking at long range plans.
with B-10, SEC. B-12 & ACC still circling the tank.
there is going to be nothing left on east side.
Boise,. SDST, BYU, Hous, SMU, Memphis, UTEP, Tulane

I also believe this would be a great conference. The Big East cannot get ahead by staying regional and must take a chance and do something different. I would not name it metro, but something like NAC, National Athletic Conference...we're national, we're big, not just a southeast, pacific, or atlantic conference, but the National athletic conference.

your all twisted, the only reason there was expansion is bec ause notre dame moved to the acc. the b1g got ruffled so they showed the mighty acc that they are more better. expansion is done the big 12 is happy............ pac 12 is happy..........
