Good Luck and so long
Well, I've been clear in the past that my preference was the BE. I don't like the idea of going back to the MWC. Though I do like ALL of our sports being in the same conference, I wish that conference had been the BE with a true western all sports division.
With that said, it's obvious that it's not going to happen now. So I will take my leave and wish you all luck in your future conference endeavors.
Boise Alum out.

I think you hit the nail on the head. Nothing is done until the games begin.

You and me both my bro. Who knows what will happen from here but I'll still be a fan of the Broncos program.
As fans, we're all just along for the ride.

Having only a couple of western teams was a dumb idea to begin with and a whole division was impossible to build. The fault is that of the original Big East founding schools who just had to cling to the hybrid model in spite of it's inherent instability. Their continued failure to decide to be an all sports league, including excluding Penn State at one time, turning down a generous TV contract in the past several months at the urging of Pitt who then bolted and ironically was the one blocking PSU, etc., were the reason this league has faltered greatly.
There is a foundation for a good, regionally sensible league remaining, but it will have to rebuild a brand. The C7 now leaving will be a long term boost if the remaining group forms a sensible league.

You were an excellent conference brother, along with some other BSU and SDSU fans. You obviously believed in our national conference experiment, as most of us did. Too bad it was never given a chance to work.

Good luck to Boise. Now the Big East can concentrate on being an Atlantic Gulf concentrated conference. Would not abandon SDSU but would understand if they felt they could not come to the Nbe because of being isolated.
