I think it's a possibility, but if I'm reading this right it makes it easy to put him on their G League team and it's advantageous for both the team and player in that regard. Hoping someone more knowledge chimes in

Considering that Doolittle worked the save in Game 1, it should have been a priority that Hudson get a comfortable flight back for Game 2 so he could get some sleep.

There are a lot of professional organizations that would have done something more in that situation.

I have a buddy who works as a cop at BWI and he escorts players all the time through the airport. He says a lot of teams fly their guys on southwest

I don't doubt that. But this was the playoffs and the situation (Doolittle closed Game 1 and considering the Nats bullpen history and the lack of sleep for Hudson) seemed to call for something out of the ordinary.

A few NFL scouts have visited ODU in the past few weeks. Can anyone tell us who specifically are they interested in?
