These were absolutely the best uniforms we've ever had.

Umm...no. The logo was too small to be recognizable from more than 5' away, and the asymmetrical gray center stripe looked awful.

Of these proposed alternates the red helmet with the oversized chrome Thundercat is my personal favorite. I'm also cool w/ the white. The oval thundercat would look a lot better if the decal was bigger (and white instead of gray). The less said about the overall chrome helmet the better.

Ya'll should stick to the UH logo on the helmets, IMO.

My favorite is the ol school original logo helmet, hands down... but of these I too be fine with red helmet and the oversized chrome cougar on it... i'ts cool.

rumor has it that Memphis will have Cincy Bengal style uni's next season. Seriously.

I like the red with the chrome Cougar as well. I'm usually a traditionalist about these kind of things, but I really like these new style helmets Boise St seems to have ushered in. Someone posted a UCF one with the Knight face covering the helmet, really liked it.

How would that work though? The bengals colors are actually tiger colors. Is memphis going to do blue and silver stripes? Meh. I'm not so sure I like.


While we're on the subject, Tulane is at least looking at some neat retro mock-up helmets. I'm not sure if any of these are going to be used, just one of them, or all of them. To be specific, the two on the right are retro helmets, the sky blue is just a blue version of what we use now (far left).




And also mocked up some black and white matte finishes. These are sick, I think, especially if you went to a mostly black and white uniform with green accents -- to be used once/twice a year.
