...honestly???? why black first off (and either pic is not defining or someone bomb-canned that thing) and the one behind it looks like UNC
I want USM to go with carbon fiber plaid both black and in lettering...and we have one of the best polymer science schools...talk to each other...is amazing how productive it could be...of course CF could be a banned material and I just don't feel like looking it up

Unless Tulane is planning to have a blackout game (which is not a good thing since they don't have black in their colors) they need to stick to something more them.
Historically, Tulane has produced several different symbols and four different colors of helmets. There have been blue, silver, white, and green (and now white) helmets. Personally, I feel Tulane can reintroduce one of the four previous colors without having to use black or another color not mentioned. But I fully realize any new "looks" will be a balancing act between the marketing needs of the administration, the image of the current coaches, the new or hip look desired by players, recruits, students, and the sensitivity to pay tribute with a wide age range of influential alumni.
Bottom line...I hope that the marketing folks can revisit (on an occassional basis) some of great past colors, designs and logos. I hope TU will be sensitive to our older alumni and be an advocate for an occasional use of the older colors and symbols.... and frankly I hope there is a place in the new Tulane Yulman stadium that will present or showcase our history's various colors and designs allowing alumni from every era feel welcome.

a matte sandpaper texture colored in green would be awesome....have the raised points in silver would be perfect.....starting to feel like these guys...
I'm not a fan. Just doesn't vibe with Tulane's color scheme in my opinion. Maybe if they were going with the matte them maybe a matte green like I think Michigan State did or a matte powder blue if that's possible. I think with the blue and green you guys could have some wild color combinations like Oregon.
