Considering who we are playing, this thread has the epic chance to break all records for use of the 'stir the pot' emoticon and for use of 'y'all.'

Aye dos mio!!!

And we still almost beat you. LOL

I was at that game. UTEP never had a shot at winning the game that night as ECU was just the better team that night.

Depends on how much home cookin' ECU gets.
Hope we get as much as UAB did last night lol.
I know I look through purple shades, but it appears we get as many bad calls against us at home as we do on the road. We need some home cooking... wish the refs would accommodate.

I fully expect ECU to get behind by at least 10 in the first half due to TERRIBLE shooting...

But we'll blow the doors off UTEP in the 2nd half... winning a close one.

RE: UTEP @ ECU Saturday Jan 26th
I was reading into the stats, and ECU shoots a ton of 3's... That hasn't been good for the Miners all season, but at the same time, UTEP seems to always have a high scorer against ECU... Should be interesting to see what happens... Can go either way, really... If ECU doesn't hit their shots, I like the Miners chances... At the same time, UTEP has too many dry spells.

Sounds pretty much like the Pirates as well.... too many dry spells, especially in the first half.

I'm sure the fans are going to be all over him, Don't think he can stand up to it. if there is one thing most people know about Tim Floyd, he has an ego almost as big as his shady past.

You do realize how transparent you are, right?

I've never hidden my dislike for Tim Floyd.

Game Day. Lookin forward to this game against the Miners. They've played a pretty helacious schedule. A quality win @ home against the Miners would be a big boost going into the Memphis game IMHO. Ought to come down to the last minute of play. :ecu:

RE: UTEP @ ECU Saturday Jan 26th
UTEP has also been a second half team. We have scored more in the second half of all our CUSA games except SMU. This will be a good game. UTEP having to play 3 games in five days hurt the Miners at Tulsa and IMO cost us the game. SMU played some
1-3-1 zone against UTEP so the Miners have seen what ECU likes to do already. In additon UTEP has had a week to prepare for this game and the coaching staff has talked at length about how important it would be to win on the road. Julian Washburn and McKenzie Moore will shut down Kemp. They have did it to Jones from SMU until garbage time, and they did it to Josh Davis from Tulane. UTEP is giving up just 60 points a game and ECU is averaging 78. If ECU is to win they will have to get production out of someone other than Kemp.

The week to prepare is the key IMO. It just gives a coach like Floyd plenty of time to do what he does best. prepare a team.
