Strong guard play but didnt live by the 3. Got to the stripe and made their tosses. Very few turnovers. Made more than half of FG attempts.
I have no idea how Hawaii plays so we have the ying without the yang.
But this snap shot poses a couple challenges.
- Strong guard play on offense against our avg. athleticism there
- Shot well both from the field and stripe getting to the stripe consistently
- Two guards with 5 assists each, with few turnovers.
- Guard play got themselves to the stripe and one other. In otherwords, they don't settle. They make you guard or pay. And it isnt just their opp. # who pays. Back line bigs trying to cover lapse get caught.
The shake out here is that their front line plays a lot better because their guard play creates opportunities for all. Again, 1 game and I dont know how the Warriors defended. But alot of foul shots equates to a lot of fouls and on the wrong folk at the wrong time stymies developing positive momentum or if developed can deflate it quickly.
On the road, traveling a distance . . . will that impact their shooting? I wouldnt bet on it.
