It wouldn't surprise me either way. It's basically our whole season. Their size advantage is real though.

The Tigers did not look sharp last night. It will take our best effort to pull out a win as I expect Southern's best effort. I expect a close hard fought game. It sounds simple but the difference is we made shots in Hattiesburg and played smart with the ball thus limiting turnovers. We had 19 turnovers last night against Houston. That won't work against Southern.

Can't wait to watch this one! We need this signature win!

dont discount how houston played last night. granted, that was probably the "worst" effort we've seen since the home marshall game, but houston did some good stuff last night and that house kid is going to be something else.

I was surprised how USM man-handled UH...they have talent and wasn't surprised at the MEM/UH score.

There is no doubt we can beat them, but at their house? History is not on our side and even with today's team you guys win 8 out of 10. MEM was on cloud nine against us at home. MEM shot 56 percent for the game and almost 50 percent from the three. I can only hope we return the favor.

I expect (hopefully) this to be closer than the first one and am certain I will be on pins and needles the entire game.

Wish this was a 7pm game...it could sell out.

This isn't USM BB 2012 and most teams don't win a majority on the road other than the uber-elite. We have had one helluva road season this year. NOBODY predicted our level of success this year.

You're right. But I believe 5 of our 6 losses have come on the road this year and Memphis beat us at home by 13. Not saying we can't win, but I am saying we have to play near perfect basketball to do so.

If we had Michael Craig, I'd like our chances a lot better. Losing him has hurt us.

I totally agree with this. Last night in the second half was our first solid defensive performance since he got hurt. Trust in Tyndall!

To the previous post, you cannot discount the home/away ratio and how hard that is to deal with from the player/coach perspective.

It is a given we have to play solidly and hope MEM is at the very least a tad flat...and I don't expect the latter against us...Pastner is pounding that in their heads right this minute.

I was very impressed with Memphis in Hattiesburg, as they play to the best of their abilities that day. We will have to play our best and them play subpar to beat them there. Here's to a great game.

What? We're one of the best road teams in the nation (with plenty of practice). Memphis is talented, taller, and well coached (Pastner seems to be finally coming into his own this season).
