Congratulations, Memphis. UAB has taken the first 2 games of a 3 game series with Xavier, 4-3 yesterday, 4-2 today @ Young Memorial Field on the UAB campus. Can't wait till we play you guys. Should make for some interesting baseball, especially in lieu of what happened in Pearl, MS., last Summer...

They are 0-6 overall -- beginning a 14 game homestand friday. while the jury is certainly still out, there is at least a chance that they just aren't very good.

Hopefully for our sake and yours Mizzou ends up being a better than average team as this will help both our RPI's. At the same time, since they are SEC I wouldn't mind seeing them go 0-fer all seaason

Yeah, I didn't see this thread for some reason. I should have put my update on the Ole Miss game here.

Hey, USM, ECU, Rice, etc, etc; all you baseball powers....we were in the championship game last year and now we're knocking off top 10 programs. The balance of power has shifted to Memphis and last year's champion, UAB.

Well.......not really.

However, it is nice to defeat Ole Miss any time and even sweeter when they are ranked in the top 10.
