Phil Parsons Racing is the team I hate the most. His teams have run probably less than 10 complete races in both Nationwide & Cup, in a combined 10 full seasons between the 2 series. He is only in it to make money for himself. He doesn't care about actual racing.

RE: OT Daytona 500
I feel like we'll see better racing come Dega.. I think most of them were trying to get a feel for these cars at a Plate Track. We'll see.
Doesn't matter though, the real season starts Sunday. I like Plate races. But there's only a handful of them.

8th, when I saw Jr make a move I wanted her to drop down in front of him. A Stewart move. She hesitated. She learn. I thought she droved her arse off.
She is tech a rookie this year. Good start to her first season. She will learn, and will get better.

She got "freight trained" according to her. It's a shame more of us couldn't have joined in.

RE: OT Daytona 500
IMO, yesterday defined the future of Sprint cup racing at Daytona and especially 'Dega. The car manufacturer's squeezed France into a corner, and he was forced to go back to the "showroom car" and abandon the COT. Before COT, we had what we saw yesterday. Yesterday was not surprising. I am going to go back to not watching these races in full, and just tune in to the last 20 laps....it is all that is worth watching. ...let's don't forget the ridiculous amount of commercials....makes me sick.
It is just a matter of time before drivers/owners start bitching about how one manufacturer has an advantage over the other. NASCAR has turned into a little bitchfest and the bootlegging days have long been lost.
I miss the banging....hell, even Tony has toned it down...never thought I would see that day. I guess being an owner has made this happen. I still the best pure driver. It will be interesting to see Keslowski's attitude in a handful of years.
Regarding Danica, she exceeded everyone's expectation. I am hardly a fan of her, but was impressed that she recognized her place which is no different than what any other rookie would/should have done. Biffle is the one that screwed the pooch there. DW is a joke with his DP pontification, but she knows she can't piss off anyone on the track or she gets it back times whatever...at some tracks, you don't even have to hit someone today to wreck 'em. Being a woman, especially an uber hot one that gets all the attention, she will always have that hanging over he head.

Michael was in the K-LOVE car right? Started near the back (35-39?) I think and finished in the top 10. Great run.

The thing is, when they (used to) race in big packs at restrictor plate tracks, the drivers would complain about the big packs when there were wrecks and said it was a by-product of plate racing. Now, when they are running single file, they complain that no one wants to pass. So when they pass like crazy, they complains. When they don't pass, they complain. And it seemed like all of them were complaining today how no one wanted to pass, but if they all would have gone to the bottom there would have been passing. Look what the racing was like before that final debris caution when JJ and Brad were racing like crazy for the lead! That was GREAT racing throughout the whole pack! It's funny, there are always 'debris' cations that people complain about. Now there is finally a legit debris caution, and it ruined the BEST racing of the day.
That just tells you that most NASCAR drivers hate "plate" racing. Just ask Mark Martin.
Martin (my 2nd fave all time driver behind Harry Gant) has made it clear MANY times in the past, he hates restrictor plate racing. I think Talladega is going to be as BORING as Daytona was this year... (and no, I'm NOT a fan of restrictor plate racing either).
Thankfully we've got Bristol in a couple of weeks... (although I kinda like Phoenix)

Ya, it was why I was disappointed when my dad merged his team (Whitney Motorsports, #46) with Phil's. Worst part is that he uses our trailer and won't pay any rent or buy it from us and we have no use of it up here in Michigan because we only race go-karts now. He's a cheap ass and I can't stand him, but I'm a big McDowell fan so I cheer them on anyways.

So, is that the car that JJ Yeley drove?
I've never been a Phil Parsons fan either. I've never cared for him in the announcers booth, but he did a better job of that than driving or (evidently) team management.
I still miss Benny.

The 2012 Indy 500 had more lead changes then this years Daytona 500, that is something you don't see too often.
