Is it possible that there is another human with as big of d-bag ego as Bobby V?

I used to work for the Mets, and I once sat at the table with he and Steve Philips at Spring Training. I have met many a pompous ass in my day, but I can't say that I have met one bigger than he.

I have chit-chatted with Bobby V a cpl. times and found him to be pretty regular guy. when he had a sports bar in arlington he would come around and visit patrons and seemed to always take the baseball digs and jabs in stride..

As a Red Sox fan, I find him to be a 01-rivals bag of a manager that cared about his own image more than the team's W-L record. As a person, he might be a wonderful person but I can't say because I've never met him. He was the worst choice possible for manager and it reflected with the record and finishing last in the AL East. He did have a lot of problems with pitching, I'll give him that concession.

As a Yankee fan I was hoping they would have signed BV for life.

You sat at a table with Bobby Valentine and Steve Phillips?

I don't know you, but I feel comfortable saying that you were probably the coolest guy at that table by far.

well- you have to not be a red sox fan to see that he had little to work with and the players revolted on him.

Not sure what you're trying to say. Not a Red Sox fan here.

But the guy doesn't treat people the right way. Publicly he's arrogant and pretentious (just see his press conference yesterday) so you can only imagine what he's like when the cameras aren't on him. I don't get any enjoyment from that. I feel bad for the guy, because he thinks he's the most important, talented and smartest person of any room he steps in. Zero humility in that one.
